KEEPING THE DREAM OF FLYING ALIVE

Are you concerned about the future availability of fuels for sport aviation? We are. That's why we started the Aviation Fuel Club. As a nonprofit organization, we have one major goal: to reduce the cost of recreational flying by providing safe, environmentally friendly fuels and facilities. We unite those who like to fly for fun, and fight to keep the dream of flying alive for future generations.

MIKE WEBB, Aviation Fuel Club Founder

Recreational Pilot, Owner of U-Fuel, Inc. and Owner of Webb Development Corporation
It was Mike's love of flying that prompted him to establish the Aviation Fuel Club. The resources available to him through his company, U-Fuel, placed him in a unique position to assist fellow recreational pilots in their fight to keep flying. Among the many services of U-Fuel are self-service fuel stations at airports worldwide.

DEAN BILLING, Director
Aviation Fuel Club, Sisters, OR

Recreational Pilot, Retired computer systems plumber, Manager of Flyunleaded.com, and information provider for General Aviation
Private pilot for more than 40 years while working in the computer industry for national companies and companies you never heard of. Designed numerous computer systems including an airborne data acquisition system for air quality measurement flown in a C-337, C-206 and Piper Aztec. Owned a classic 1962 C-172C when Oregon passed a mandatory E10 law with no exceptions. At that point I got heavily involved with trying to insure ethanol free auto gasoline would be available for G.A. Forced to sell C-172 when mogas became almost impossible to get west of the Rockies. Building a RANS S-7S, joining the LSA revolution.

KENT MISEGADES, Director
Aviation Fuel Club, Cary, NC

Recreational Pilot, Aerospace Engineer, and Aviation Journalist for EAA and GA
Like many of you, Kent dreamt of flying since he was a kid and completed his first solo on his sixteenth birthday. After obtaining degrees in mechanical engineering and applied aerodynamics, he worked for over thirty years in the aerospace, computer, and nuclear power industries.

TODD L. PETERSEN,
Director Aviation Fuel Club, Minden, NE

Commercial Pilot and Owner of Petersen
Aviation Inc.

Todd grew up around airplanes in the spraying business operated by his father, Charles O. Petersen, in Nebraska. By 1983, avgas was getting difficult to obtain and the price was exceedingly high. It was then that Charles and Todd formed Petersen Aviation and began testing to obtain STCs for auto fuel for the Pratt & Whitney R-985 and Grumman Ag Cat. The Petersens continued to conduct flight and engine testing for the next ten years. Today Petersen Aviation holds over 150 STCs for the use of automotive gasoline in a variety of aircraft and engines.

A little bit more about U-Fuel...

U-Fuel has designed more types of fuel systems than any other company in the world. The concepts they developed are now industry standards and many countries adapted U-Fuel Standards as regulations to protect the environment and insure safety. With U-Fuel's impeccable reputation for quality and safety, their fuel products are widely used by the US government and thousands of companies worldwide. Most major petroleum companies (i.e. Petro China, Sinopac, BP, Conoco Phillips, Exxon Mobile, and Shell) and most major shipping companies (i.e. DHL, FedEx, and UPS) use U-Fuel Portable Fuel Stations. U-Fuel has constructed many airport facilities and owned a fixed base operation at Oshkosh, WI, home of the world's second largest aviation show, before selling it to the current FBO.

MEMBER ACCESS TO FUELING STATIONS

Benefit from lower fuel prices. The Aviation Fuel Club operates like a cooperative. You receive a better price on fuel, when you take advantage of the efficiencies created by a group operation.

Gain access to 91+ octane, ethanol-free, unleaded gasoline, filtered to aviation
standards at small airports.

U-Fuel stations supply fuel for aircraft at more than 1,000 airports
worldwide, and that number is growing everyday.

* We have not inspected these facilities or know what type of gas is provided nor recommend any installation. Mogas was originally 87 octane leaded gasoline, under which original testing was conducted. Then as the government banned lead, it became 87 octane unleaded gas.

A Fuel Club

The Aviation Fuel Club is an organization by sport aviators, for sport aviators.
Our intent is to lower the cost of flying by providing the most affordable fuel solutions possible. Our club's fuel stations allow smaller organizations, as well as larger ones, to yield greater profits in a shorter amount of time, make flying more affordable, convenient, and safer.
